Sun-dried tomatoes have a deep flavor and a vibrant color. These tomatoes are bright and do not need to be reconstituted before cooking. Sun-dried tomatoes have long been used in Mediterranean cuisine; though they are relatively new to the United States gourmet market.
Suggested Use:
Sun-dried tomatoes are very versatile, use them in any recipe that calls for tomatoes. Delicious chopped and added to pasta sauce, chili, breads, bagels, cream cheese and salads. Use them as a pizza topping. Marinate whole in olive oil and then broil with garlic cloves for a delicious appetizer.
