Madagascar Pink Rice has a slightly sweet flavor that hints at cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. This rice is milled to retain most of the nutritional bran layer, making it a whole grain, healthier rice.
Madagascar Pink Rice is grown using a sustainable set of practices called the System of Rice Intensification (SRI.) SRI enables small family farmers to harvest more rice using less water, seeds, land, and no chemicals. These practices will help protect the lemur population where Madagascar Pink Rice is harvested.
