Fruit Juice Sweetened Strawberries

These strawberries are unique amongst typical dried fruits in that there is no added sugar. Many dried fruits have regular old processed sugar added to supplement the natural sugars. With these strawberries however, concentrated apple and strawberry juices are added to enhance the natural sweetness.

The result of this unusual approach is a moist and plump dried strawberry that has rapidly become one of our signature items. They are fantastic atop a salad or dessert, and make a full flavored and commanding sauce when reduced down a bit.

If you desire a less moist strawberry, you can air dry these a little over a day or two if you can keep them covered and cool. Then they’re an easy finger food snack, or an amazing trail mix ingredient.
