Wasabi Peas
If you are looking for an eye-opening snack that packs a punch and a crunch, look no further than our spicy Wasabi Peas.
Belonging to the same family as mustard and horseradish, the root of the wasabi plant gives wasabi paste, and our peas, its intense spicy flavor. Mount Hope Wholesale Wasabi Peas ignite your snack cravings and your taste buds with a spicy crunch.
Our gluten free and vegan Wasabi peas are a nice snack loaded with fiber and protein. They are combined with rice flour, sugar, soybean oil, and wasabi. Wasabi peas are made by first soaking dried peas overnight and then cooking them in a boiling pot of water. They are then roasted with oil until they reach that perfect level of crunch. They are then tossed around in wasabi paste and baked until a dry wasabi crunch forms on the outer shell of the pea.
Wasabi is common in Japanese cuisine, most notably served alongside sushi, that sends a short and sweet burn through your senses.
Wasabi peas are best eaten as a snack before or between meals with their fiery, crunchy and distinct sharp flavor. Eat them one at a time or, if you are bold and daring, grab a handful and crunch away. Try holding back those tears as you do. If you are looking to mix it up a little or throw a party, add wasabi peas to a snack mix with cashews, dried ramen, toasted cheese crackers, rice cereal such as Chex Mix, and corn chips. Toss in melted butter and bake until everything looks nice and toasty.
Bulk orders of Wasabi peas come in 1 and 5 lb (2.27 kg) bags and for a super snack fix 22 lb (ca. 10 kg) cases.
